weak as i am

There comes a time when things just don't feel right, and a great need for comfort and a reminder of home is just what the ex-pat ordered. To this end I have forsaken my new found outdoor appetite and bare-bones approach to home living and have, for a couple of months at the most, taken out a subscription to Sky Sports. Rugby, as I'm sure everyone will agree, is rubbish and it's very disappointing to have to endure the four-bloody-simultaneous-channel coverage of both codes. However those tantalising glimpes of Premier League football, and a 2.55am wake up to watch Liverpool roll over against Spurs has begun to make the winter bearable.

And as an added bonus I get to watch Robbie Fowler heave his hefty torso around various A-League grounds as he imitates the goal-scoring wonder of yesteryear. It's not much, but it'll do for now.

EDIT

Well, that was less than enjoyable... current stats: watched two, lost two.

How is it possible to jinx the team from this far away? The brief enjoyment gained from ManUre getting beat by Burnley is already a distant memory. I reckon it's time to get into Aussie Rules and its mental arbitrary regulations.
